Each year I’m able to support a few charities and local organisations with free photographic services. In 2019 I worked with the horticultural therapy charity Thrive who use gardening to enhance the lives of people living with disabilities.
"We were absolutely delighted with the photos Charlie took for our charity Thrive, and overwhelmingly appreciative that this was done on a pro-bono basis. We worked with Charlie in advance of the shoot days to look at what kind of images we wanted to capture – being a gardening for health charity, this included a whole range of categories from people (client gardeners, staff and volunteers) to plants, gardens, training, events and much more.
Having just launched a new website, imagery was incredibly important, particularly capturing genuine interactions between people that could really demonstrate impact, connections, sense of achievement and a feeling of health and wellbeing through nature and gardening. Charlie did just that! She absolutely managed to capture some lovely moments and the photos we have are fabulous, natural, genuine and impactful – bang on brief!
